Building inspections ensure that any new or renovated buildings are constructed to quality standards and provide safety of all occupants. In Pinellas County, all permitted building and construction projects require inspections. To maintain our high standards of customer service, we are adhering to the following process for inspection scheduling:

There are two ways to schedule an inspection.

Inspection Phone Line at (727) 453-4000. You will need to have your inspection code and your assigned permit number. You can schedule an inspection as far as nine business days in advance.
Calls received prior to 3:30 p.m. may be scheduled for the next business day.
Calls received after 3:30 p.m. will be scheduled for the second business day.

Online (registered users only) using the Pinellas County Access Portal.

Use link below to visit the Pinellas County Access Portal to request a building inspection:

• Inspections can be schedule for next day before 11:59pm
• Create an Access Portal account if you haven’t already, then login.
• Click on Building in the toolbar, and then Schedule an Inspection in the submenu.
• Locate your building permit by searching for the record using the instructions provided.
• Click on the appropriate record number to access your permit.
• Click Schedule or Request an Inspection.
• Select the applicable inspection type and request a date. You can schedule an inspection as far as nine business days in advance.
